Price and inventory levels for West Queen Anne Zip Code 98109
The popular Queen Anne communities (zip codes 98109 East Queen Anne, 98119 West Queen Anne) are starting to see home prices on the East Side rise in March, following two weeks of prices treading water in late February. This is a welcome relief, after prices on the East Side of Queen Anne were steadily trending the downward starting in late August of 2011. West Queen Anne has seen inventory levels start to rise over the last three week and prices are still trending downward.
The median selling price for East Queen Anne has fallen from the years high $850k in August 2011 to just under $687k from $705k on 1/19/2012. West Queen Anne reached its high water mark of $710K in October of 2011 and has since seen prices trend downward to $648K down from $665k (read February 6, 2011 article).
Queen Anne housing inventory
An inventory level in both East and West Queen Anne has started to increase beginning in late February and is starting to show signs of increased seller confidence levels. This good is a good indication buyers are starting to come back into the housing market.
The Queen Anne Hill location is located close to several major employment centers, South Lake Union, Downtown Seattle and just a short commute to the University of Washington. The neighborhood is rich with restaurants, boutiques, specialty shops, bakeries & markets, and professional services.
Many of the homes on Queen Anne Hill were built in the early 1900s with much hand crafted detailing to go along with some of the city’s best views.
